On page 172 Lily finally opens up and asks May if she know Deborah Fontanel. May responds with "Oh, yes, Deborah Fontanel. She stayed out there in the honey house. She was the sweetest thing." This is the first lead Lily has gotten about her mother since arriving at the Calendar Sisters house. The information in itself causes Lily to nearly buckle to the ground. This is huge for both Lily and the plot of the story. My question to you is. Will Lily return to hiding behind her lies after learning that the Calendar Sisters know of her mother or will she follow up and try to talk to August like she said she would the night Zach got arrested? I think that Lily will talk to August because its way overdue for her to find out about her mother. Let me know what you guys think.
