Lily's Feelings About the Truth

Lily has always hoped that Deborah was the most caring perfect mother. However, when she finds out from August that T-Ray was telling the truth about her leaving it angers her. Lily precedes to through a tantrum in the honey house and semi-destroy it.  For reasons unknown to me I always believed that Lily would never feel anger toward her mother. Contrary to what I thought she did have anger after gaining knowledge of what her mother did to her. It seems to me that August predicted that she would feel this emotion of anger. August brings Lily her mothers box as if knowing the picture of Lily and Deborah would comfort Lily. Do you believe that August knew and predicted that Lily would respond this way or it was just August revealing more information to Lily about Deborah and it just happened to ease Lily's emotions toward her mothers actions?
