This is kinda of a broad and quick question. In class we discussed how Lily has settled into the Boatright household and now feel comfortable there. After calling her dad, there is now a possibility of T-Ray tracking her down and taking her home. If this does happen, how do you think Lily would respond to it? Would she try and run away again or would she accept being miserable?
I don't think anyone could just accept being miserable, I think that If T-Ray were to take Lily Back home she would run away somewhere else, but I don't think that T-Ray will find Lily anyways.

ReplyDeleteI think T-Ray is going to wind up finding her. There is no way he would just leave her there because he now has the ability to find her. I predict that T-Ray will show up and realize how happy she is. I don't think he will leave her there, because nothing lasts for ever. Sooner or later she was going to have to face this problem. But I also do not think he will take her back home. It is hard to tell what he may do, because we do not know T-Ray very well. Personally, I think that Lily will stay with the sisters until her "searching" or "adventure" is over with. She still has so many questions that need answering. She also can not just leave Zack behind because I think, more than anything, leaving him behind will devastate her. Then, I think she will just travel, seeing the world for what it really is. Maybe she will travel north, where racial segregation is not as common. Maybe Lily and Roseleen will live together and Lily will grow up, and start her whole new life.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think that T-Ray will use the phone call to find her in Tiburon and try to take her home. But, I think August will refuse to let him take her home, and Lily, too, will refuse because of the bonds she has created with August, May and Zack. Hopefully, T-Ray will realize how happy Lily really is and let her live her life the way she wants to live it
ReplyDeleteWe can only hope that T-Ray will leave her there where she is happy.
