Zach wanting to be a lawyer

Zack talks a lot about his desire to become a lawyer and but my question is why? Its hard to tell whether he wants to do it more out of a need to change the world and get racial equality, but at times it seems like he just wants to do it for revenge and hurting the people who are responsible for unfair laws. It does seems like a mix of both but which matters more to him?
