June, August, and Lily

Why June does not want Lily live with them, and why she does not believe her? Why August wants to give Lily a change to live with them, and why she trusts Lily? Lily tells lies, about her past life, because she wants to get in the house and I think June noticed that she is in some kind of trouble. August sees that Lily is good, even that she knows Lily is lying. June is trying to tell August that Lily is nothing else than harm, but when August is the oldest sister she decides to help Lily and let Rosaleen and Lily stay with them.
