I haven't really seen many people talk about the quotes at the beginnings of the chapters and how thy correlate with what is happening in the book so I'm going to make a few posts about them starting a little ways back in the book.
I'm starting way back in chapter five. The quote says "Let's imagine for a moment that we are tiny enough to follow a bee into a hive. Usually the first thing you would have to get used to is the darkness...". If you can remember this is one of the early days of them being at the pink house and June is a little bit hostile towards Lily staying there. Do you think that this is the darkness that the quote refers to or do you think that it refers to the Unknown in the house and the way that the sisters live?
