Lily and Zach's relationship
In chapter eleven when the sisters of Mary are in the honey house, Zach and Lily sneak off into the woods and they have their first kiss, zach then precedes to tell Lily that it is unreasonable for them to be together at the moment but he will come back for her in the future. Personally, I beleive that Zach is telling the truth and will come back for Lily, but do you guys think Zach will keep his word and come back for Lily or do you think he will become a big shot lawyer and forget about her?

I agree that Zach is telling the truth and they will be together in the future.Even if he does become a lawyer. I feel that he loves her enough that nothing will change that. And the same goes for Lily.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that he meant what he said but I doubt that it will actually happen because of segregation. Even if he does become a big lawyer there would still be people that would be negative to them being together.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Sabryna especially now knowing the end of the book. However, Zach says this before we know whether or not Lily is going to return with T-Ray or if he ever going to find her. I actually believe that Sue Monk Kidd writes this to through the readers off by making them believe T-Ray is going to take Lily away.
